Taipalsaari Multipurpose Court,
Saimaanharju

Sand-filled artificial grass with junior Finnish baseball and football markings — installed on ready-made bases.

Project Description

We implemented the Saimaanharju multipurpose court artificial grass installation in Taipalsaari. The sand-filled artificial grass was installed on ready-made bases, which enabled a fast and efficient project execution.

The court serves local athletes in many ways: the installation included junior Finnish baseball field markings and football markings. The multipurpose solution offers an excellent playing environment for several sports with a single investment.

General Questions About Multipurpose Court Construction

A multipurpose court is designed for several different sports. Markings for different sports, such as football, Finnish baseball (pesäpallo), basketball, or volleyball, can be painted or cut into the artificial grass surface. The court serves a wide user base with a single investment.
Markings can be implemented in two ways: either by sewing together artificial grass strips of different colors or by painting them onto the court surface with special paints. Both methods are durable and weather-resistant.
Yes — if the groundworks have already been done properly, the installation of the artificial grass alone is significantly faster. It is important that the finished base meets requirements for levelness, water drainage, and load-bearing capacity before installation begins.
